Sound ambiance and team: how to create a simple rule that everyone follows
Par Christophe · 2 September 2026
A common problem in wellness establishments: the music changes depending on the team on duty. The morning team has its habits, the afternoon team has other tastes, and the weekend replacement doesn’t know what to play.
No one is individually wrong. But the client experiences a different vibe depending on the day of their visit. And this becomes problematic for your brand consistency.
The solution: the 3-question rule
Before choosing an ambiance, each team member asks themselves three simple questions.
1. What time of day is it? Quiet morning, active afternoon, end-of-day rest.
2. What is the dominant energy in the establishment? Calm, dynamic, or deep relaxation.
3. What is the main need of the clients present? Arrival, treatment, rest, or departure.
Three questions. Thirty seconds. A clear answer, applicable by anyone.
Practical application
10 a.m., first clients arriving → Meditation or 432 Hz.
2 p.m., steady pace, dynamic treatments → Californian or Jazz Lounge.
6 p.m., last treatments, return to calm → Balinese or L’Alchimie.
What this rule changes in practice
The team gains autonomy. No more waiting for validation to change the ambiance when the context evolves.
New arrivals are operational immediately. No need to know the 14 radio stations by heart: the 3 questions are enough.
Conflicts of taste disappear. We don’t argue over a subjective choice, we apply an objective method.
Going further
The 3-question rule can be combined with StarkStream’s automatic scheduling. You define a basic schedule for the week, and the team uses the 3 questions to make occasional adjustments if the context requires it.
A simple rule is better than complex regulations. It is remembered, passed on, and applied.
